Alternative healing for dogs in Shrewsbury Telford

I have always been interested in reiki healing. During covid lockdown, I decided to study the theory side to reiki healing… doing an intensive online course. And, I loved it.

I have always used reiki on friends and family, as I have been aware of this, ‘angelic,’ gift, which I have so often been told, I own.

To cut a long story short, I ended up with two dogs, Woody, and, ‘Poppy,’ the smallest you see in the picture, was neglected, and badly malnourished. She was an unwanted pet. So, I took pity on her, and knowing that I had loads of love to give, I offered her a home.

However, I never knew until later down the line the health issues that she would have. Poppy, would shake her head from side-to-side, in distress. Despite, taking her to the vets, and getting a prescribed medication for her ears, the pain returned and so did the high vet bills.

I was challenged to use my, ‘angel,’ healing that I used on clients, friends and family, also on Poppy! Surely, if natural healing can work on humans, it can also have the same desired effect on animals?

I held Poppy into my arms, under their watchful eyes… in my conservatory, feeling her pain. I closed my eyes, and just channelled pure healing into her pain. Almost instantly; the pain left! But, it does not end there! I was challenged to use my ‘angel gift,’ once again!

Poppy, was vomiting all over the place. I was not sure what was causing it. She became so weak, that the other animals I have were in obvious distress. I also have five cats!

Poppy, was so lifeless, and had no energy. My friends once again suggested I do something with this gift I have. It was painful watching her squealing in so much pain.

I held her into my arms, talking to her, while, ‘tuning’ while using magnetics healing therapy. Within minutes she was up and running, and playing with Woody, the bigger dog!

The gift I have, I call it, love and compassion, just purity and a deep love for animals. I am sensitive to animal pain, and suffering, and ‘tune’ myself into their distress and anxieties.

I have never done any distant animal healing, that is where, you send out healing energy or vibration frequencies. Why? I prefer, to see the animal for myself, even if it is online, to build up a genuine connection, and feel compassion to work my healing side.

How Do Reiki or Natural Healing Help Dogs or Animals in General?

It can restore emotional well-being and aid healing much quicker. Natural healing also offers a deep sense of relaxation, peace, and can sooth a dog away from deep anxiety after surgery or trauma.

Strengthens the immune system – Reiki encourages the body’s natural healing processes and strengthens the immune system. Poppy, used to hate eating, but, since this unconventional healing, she eats like a horse, lol

Distant Healing for Animals

It is said that, most pets, respond to reiki or natural healing from a distance. I am no sure that distant healing works on animals when immediate compassion and empathy is absent. You have to see the animal to be able to connect based on sight and seeing.

I had to feel Poppy’s pain, seeing her shaking her head from side to side on dire distress, so that her suffering became mine, only then could my love work its wonder.

Please, note, that alternative healing is no substitute for medical treatment, but, can complement each other.

I can work with horses, dogs and cats. What is usually needed as extras are:-

1. A pillow that the animal is comfortable with which has their scent on.
2. Their toy or similar
3. Water if they need it

I decided to form a Friend’s 4 life group for people who had suffered from cancer, and just needed someone to talk too. Or, maybe, just wanted a shoulder to cry on… or just to be a part of something bigger in this life.

I myself, had surgery to remove an appendix cancer in 2023, and I can share with you how I felt so numb, and in shock. How I found out I had cancer, was by letter which was not meant for me, but for some other medical consultant.

You can imagine my shock, and horror! It was a painful journey.

But, I was lucky to have a small network around me. However, I suddenly remembered I could have been one of those cancer survivors who had no family to talk too. So, this is why I want to put back into the community using my skills!

I want to start a group called, ‘’Friend’s 4 Life,’ where we all have one thing in common, surviving the big C word!

And we don’t care what religion, or race you are: sex, or gender or sexuality! Everyone needs a friend when they are afraid, and feel alone without anyone comfort them or talk too.

Friend’s 4 Life will have:

1. Table games,
2. Pleasant Chats
3. Coffee and biscuits, cakes light squash.
4. Live singing which you can join in if you enjoy a sing a long or just back ground music and much more.
5. We are opened to game suggestions…

It is a group which will have tons of potential and flexible. So bring along your knitting and join us. You will not be judged nor will we judge others. We are all friends looking for group positive energy to bounce back from.

Everyone should be treated with respect and information shared remains within the friends 4 life group or with that person do the sharing. Confidentiality is a must at all times.

My aim is to bring hope, and light back into the areas of our lives that took away for that moment the ability to assess the emotional damage caused.

So be confident knowing you will not be judged and join friends 4 life!

As a group we will negotiate on which building we can rent and is accessible. First meeting will be on-to-one to break the ice.

When I studying for my Reiki diploma; the one thing that stuck out for me, were the number of people benefiting from this hands on healing, were making quick, and positive recovery.

Reiki healing is a kind of spiritual supplication, but without words; you are sharing the universal life force.  This energy is then  transferred  to the sick patient. It is now regarded by the doctors to be  a form of complementary treatment.
